Q: What can I expect from an individual appointment? A: At your initial consultation Ola will assess your medical history, lifestyle habits, dietary patterns and current health and wellbeing goals in order to devise a tailored plan. Following this process you can expect to immediately begin working towards your nutritional goals. Follow-up appointments will include ongoing education and support to ensure you are achieving results.
Q: How long will an appointment take? A: An initial appointment will take approximately 50-60 minutes. A standard follow-up appointment will last 25-30 minutes.
Q: What if I cannot attend my appointment? A: In order for Ola to help as many people as possible, she requires you to provide 24 hours notice if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Messages can be left on the mobile after hours or over the weekend. If 24 hours notice is not provided half of the fee will be charged, exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances. In such circumstances telephone consultations can often be substituted so that you do not miss out on your session.
Q: What if I have private health insurance? A: All private health funds provide rebates for visits to a dietitian, depending on individual cover. Please check with your private health fund to determine whether you will receive a rebate. An itemised invoice will be issued on the day from that you can use to collect your rebate.
Q: Am I eligible for a Medicare rebate? A: If you have chronic health conditions you may be entitled to have 5 visits subsidised by Medicare to see a dietitian under a Care Plan. Check with your General Practitioner to see if you are eligible for the program. In such circumstances, the full fee will be charged and Medicare will rebate $52.95 of the fee.
